Swedish Moose Meatballs

1 pound moose, ground
1/2 pound pork, ground
1 large onion, chopped fine
2 Tbsp. butter
9 Tbsp. bread crumbs
2/3 cup milk
1 egg, beaten
salt and black pepper
pinch of cloves, ground
pinch of nutmeg
oil for frying

Cook onion in butter until tender. Soak bread crumbs in milk. Mix meats with onion and egg. Add the bread crumbs and beat until smooth. Wet hands and shape meatballs. Fry over medium heat. Shake pan and turn meatballs to keep their shape. Serves four.
